Completed yet another 10km (Road, Trail and Beach) race held by New Balance Real Run. The run basically is fun as it was on a totally different place, Changi Coast Road. I did enjoy running (although my friends who asked to take part in the race didn’t turn up…) with the rest of the runners. Good thing is that I did not stop and maintain a constant pace. The beach trail about 1km was the toughest as running on the beach wasn’t an easy thing to do.
Overall completed the race at the Gun Time Finish of 1 hour and 12mins which I think wasn’t took bad considering the state of my foot and I didn’t really train up for this race. I think I better start training up for my full Marathon this year.
Went to meet Yeeting to collect New Balance Real Run Race pack at Velocity at 1pm today. What the hell… only give the race tag, championship chip, a cable tie and 4 safety pins? The goodie bag containing - dryfit tee and the shoe bag can only be collected after the actual day race. Guess too much people signed up and they either run out of stock or they don’t want the people to take the goodie bag without running.
Juz got a 8G iPod Touch on sat and I love it!
I simploy love the interface, its interactiveness, the functions, the music… Everything about it!
And the wireless Safrari browser was superb. I can surf net everywhere now! (provided there is wi-fi support) The video is also good, converted a number of movies to be watched over this fantastic device.
I’m now a proud user of Apple’s product!
I was presented with the letter of recognition from the customer the other day. Actually was quite surprised to receive it. Among the entire team, only 3 of us got it. George, Joyce and Myself. I must say I’m pretty proud to receive such award as it proves my hardwork did not go into waste. Well, at least the customer is happy with my work. The comments and praises that are about me kept me laughing till today. Keep up the good work! LOL…
Completed yet another AHM (Army Half Marathon) 2007 this year again. Timing wasn’t good as last year because I suffered muscle cramps during the last 6 km. Serve me right for going to gym the day before. :p
However, nevertheless, I got what I wanted, this year Finisher medal!!! Yay!!!
I can’t feel my legs right now… Hope I can still go to work tomorrow.
Hmm… finally got back to giving to the society again. I was quite active in charity/volunteer work while back in secondary school. Flag days, visit to homes/orphanage, you named it, i done it.
Today company together with Touch Home Care Toa Payoh organised a "Meal-On-Wheels", which basically is delivering of food and goody bag to the old needy folks. Total of 7 folks under my list to send to, and all stayed in toa payoh area, which made the delivery quite fast.
Visited home by home, delivering meal after meal. The final delivery was made to an old lady which spoke english and thanking us for being charitable and helpful. It was really refreshing to see that the old folks are so thankful, giving us a chance to help them.
I’m really glad to participate in this event, although its on a sat morning, I’ve felt that it was a time well spent. It was such a great feeling and the joy of seeing the old folks are not been neglected for and taken care of in this monetary world we living in.
More volunteers are needed! I will certainly take part in such events organised by my company next time.
So its exactly 9 years later my 2nd Uncle passed away since my dad’s. Funny thing, my family is not close with any of my dad’s side. So my mum cooked up tons of excuses like - going overseas, this year horoscope crashes thus cannot attend funeral… As for my sisters, they simply treat it as nothing happened. My mum simply send a wreath over to their place. I mean I’m still human, although I might look cold, but that doesn’t mean I’m cold-blooded or a vagabond. Guess my family didn’t try to understand me.
However I feel like I got an obligation to go. Not only to represent my dad from this side of the family, but also as a nephew to pray my last respect to my 2nd uncle. Therefore, I went ahead to the wake after knocking off at 6pm. Searched high and low for the place and finally found it after walking for 45mins.
Got the chance to pray my last respect to my 2nd uncle, and catch up with my cousins whom we did not see each other for 10 over years. It was quite enjoyable chat and I felt the family ties. It wasn’t the same as my family, which they simply don’t understand that one doesn’t have to be physically showing that one cares and does sweet talk… I’m not that type and I prefer to be left alone rather then engaging in senseless talks.
I was glad that my cousins updated me the stuffs over these years and reminiscing the past where we returned to my grandparents’ place in malaysia to celebrate chinese new year. They thanked my mum for the flowers sent.
Went home shortly and updated my mum with the stuffs. All they care is about how the relatives look at them… why? Think my family are just over-senstitive, always thinking others are looking down at them.
My mum even asked me the flowers pretty or not. I’m so speechless.
been busy with work lately and my life got nothing interesting to talk about. so no updates. ^_^
Oh my… so fast I’ve been working in this company for 8 months… time flies. I really do enjoy myself working in this big family where everyone is so co-operative and chatty. Working life has never been so fun and interesting.
